ABOUT MARK TIMM

Mark Timm has been a serial entrepreneur and exponential thinking practitioner for nearly two decades. He has started more than a dozen companies, several of which have multiplied and been sold, and has consequently participated in several equity events. At an early age, Mark’s thinking was heavily influenced by the great Zig Ziglar. His relationship with the Ziglar family led to his partnering with them as their Executive Vice President. Mark then leveraged his passion for synergy to lead the creation of the Secret of Closing the Sale Masterclass, a joint effort with Shark Tank original Kevin Harrington and the legacy of Zig Ziglar.

Family has always been an important part of Mark’s story. He and his wife Ann are the proud parents of six teens and young adults. His own experience of dealing with entrepreneurial challenges fueled his passion for helping people balance the demands of family life and business. It caused him to think outside the box when it comes to helping families succeed. His family focus led to his own efforts to help business people win at home like they win at work and to starting Ziglar Family with a focus on empowering families to move from survival to success to significance. He is the founder of the popular Ziglar Family 7-Day Challenge that has featured voices such as Dave Ramsey, Dr. Gary Chapman, Michael and Gail Hyatt, Dr. James Dobson, Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy and many more. Mark’s greatest value comes from being a master collaborator who brings people together to accomplish far more than anyone imagined. ABOUT ROBYN ROBERTSON

Robyn Robertson has fifteen years’ experience in education, starting as an ESL teacher before joining a private school as admissions and outreach director. Currently, she’s an unschooling mom of 2, podcast host, and school board trustee. Robyn is a strong advocate for natural learning. Growing up in multiple countries before age six, Robyn attended private schools from a young age. After returning to Canada, she completed her primary education in the public system before studying International Management at the University of Lethbridge.
Robyn, her husband and their 2 kids started their worldschooling journey in 2012. During this time, Robyn watched curiosity and excitement for life grow in her family. 2 things stood out to her -- she noticed that less time in school did not equal less learning. In fact, learning seemed to be more meaningful outside of school. She also saw their family’s bond strengthen.
Her experiences traveling while home-educating had Robyn questioning her past beliefs around parenting, how we learn, and the education system. It also highlighted the need for community. This led Robyn to launch her podcast Honey! I’m Homeschooling the Kids, which is a platform to share ideas, stories and information about the joys and challenges of home education and self-directed learning. The podcast also serves as a place to bring together a collective voice for change in the broader education system.
